The First and Greatest Commandment - Part I

THE FIRST AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT

PART 1

The first and greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart soul mind and strength.

Study heart, soul, mind and strength.

The second part of the great commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.

Note the order of that commandment. Jesus said on all this hangs all the law.
We are no longer bound by the laws of the Old testament, but the law of love. Jesus finished the work of the Old law in order to redeem us from the curse of the law. It was impossible to fulfill the law. That is why we needed the perfect sacrifice which was Jesus as the sacrificial lamb that paid the price for our sins. We now only need to believe and live the law of love through Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.

First and foremost we must get back to understanding who God is and how much he loves us. He was willing to sacrifice his only begotten son for us. As a father can you imagine how hard that was for him? Put yourself in Father God's place. Would you be willing to sacrifice your son for the life of just one other person? I don't know about you but I'm just not there yet.

How about this. Think about the fact that Jesus along with the father and the Holy Spirit in heaven Made the decision for him to come down in the form of a human man and live a life fully tempted as each of us are today. Then knowing that he would have to walk through every part of believing as a child to a grown man without the full understanding of the spirit realm. He would have to walk the perfect walk, tempted in all parts as we are.

He would be told the stories and read the stories of who the Savior would be, and through Time understand that he was the sacrificial lamb for each and everyone of us. Because of unbelief through Adam and Eve, this would all have to come to pass. It would be the only way that man could be reconciled back to God into a deep and loving relationship with God and have eternal life again. He did it for you and for me.

Father God, the son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit have always been and always will be. Jesus has always been there from the beginning in spirit form and is our creator. Yes I know it's difficult to fully understand the three three persons in one godhead. But we can study that another day.

Jesus is the perfect example for us to follow as we live on this Earth. Our true home and place is in the heavenliest. The only way that we can ever get back to a right relationship with God is through believing in God, the father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ the son.

Man fell from grace in the garden of Eden. In the fall we were fully separated from God and lost that spiritual connection with God. From that point on we had to walk blindly on this Earth without the knowledge of God and the full relationship we once had with God. The consequences of questioning God's word and not fully believing in the truth has caused a lot of heartbreak, death and destruction and the lives of God's people and all of his creation on this Earth.

Why would such a god and creator allow such a thing to happen? God is truly love and until we understand truly how to love as he loves, we cannot fulfill the plan of God for his family.  He even loves us enough to give us freedom of will and to make our own decisions.  True love is not controlling.

Anytime there's full control over another one it is never love. If you have children, sometimes you have to let them make mistakes and yet be there to pick them up when they fall. You warned them and give them choices, but you can't control their decisions or what they believe to be true. Many times by experience unfortunately they suffer the consequences of not believing the warnings. Just like in the garden of Eden, father God warned Adam and Eve. But due to a lack of believing in what he had to say and being tempted by Satan, they were tricked. It is the same old story today for us. We either believe in what God has to say, or we believe in what Satan has to say. We choose! God will always give us the choice to follow him or to follow the words Satan speaks into our ears and minds. The consequences of the Fall of Adam and Eve became a curse that ultimately separated us from God and brought us death in the spirit realm. We lost it all when we turned our back on God and tried to become gods ourselves. The Great deceiver and liar Satan, had tried the same thing in heaven. He had been kicked out of heaven because he wanted to be God.

It was through rebellion, jealousy and greed that Satan did not believe in who God was or fully love him. Satan actually wanted to take his place and sit on that throne! Satan plotted and planned, forgetting that God knew what he was up to all the time. Satan worked on the other angels and brought a third of them into rebellion with him. How did he do that? Through his words. Just like in the garden of Eden as he spoke to Adam and Eve, he caused rebellion to be considered by his words. Those words spoken not only in the garden of Eden to Adam and Eve, but in the heavenliest to the angels caused both to question who God was. Not only did they question who God was, but questioned what true love was. They literally questioned that God loved them.

The first betrayal to God was the angels fall. The second betrayal to God was his children's fall. The reason for our very existence and why we were made was to love God in his family. The only requirement was to believe and trust him. But, God has never given up on us and never will. By who he is, and by example of Jesus Christ in a loving relationship with the father and the Holy Spirit, we now can see and learn the true meaning of unconditional love. True spiritual godly love is fully a sacrifice of everything.

Through God's word by way of Jesus Christ and the written word, we are taught what true love is. God is jealous for us! He wants us back. He has given the ultimate price to get us back and that is the sacrifice of his son Jesus.

Bible verse:
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son but whoso should believe on him would have everlasting life. (Verse)

While it cost him everything, it cost us only to believe in his words and trust him. Out of love there is a requirement of obedience and understanding that he is Lord. It's about a relationship out of love with him as our Lord. He wants to be first in our lives and to know that we love him more than anything or anyone. That is why we were created! We are called to worship and praise him as our creator and God. We are not to have anything, God or person or things as a priority before God.

Every moment of the day and night he is always with us. Whether you believe that or not, he is constantly wooing you and drawing you into his arms. Like a loving father and friend, he teaches you his ways and trains you up to be strong and to never fall again or be tempted by Satan away from him ever again. Sometimes it doesn't feel like love when things are happening. We get tempted and blame God for the struggles and temptations of life.  Satan and temptations come and go.

God has always been there for us and walked with us through those struggles and temptations. But again God will not take away our freedom of Will and choice. The Bible says you choose this day who you will serve.
Verse

It is our choice. He didn't make robots. Robots can't love. We either love and serve him as our only God, or we serve the devil. If we make the wrong choice, again we bring the curse of consequences on ourselves once again, just as in the garden of Eden. However this time it will not take years and years and years of mankind to be redeemed back to God. We only need to confess our sin that we have been wrong and apologize for our wrongdoing, and remember that Jesus paid the price for our sin and it's by grace that we are saved through faith. We can never do enough to earn that right standing again with God and that relationship with God. It was paid for by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

The good news of the Bible is that one day Jesus will come back for us, and we will fully understand and know who we are as Spirit beings in the family of God, and take our rightful place as son's of God.  There is no distance between heaven and earth when you understand who God is as your heavenly father and Lord. Until that day God will always speak to you and draw you with his love.  But the question is will you hear his voice? Will you believe him when he's speaking to you? Or will you listen to the voices of the world and Satan instead?  You choose!

Verse
John 10:10
The thief comes to steal killing destroy, but I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

If you choose the ways of the world, the ways of Satan, the end result will be death and destruction.

If you choose the ways of God and love him and put him first in every way,   a life on Earth that is filled with wonder, love, Joy and peace even within the storms of life. But better yet we have a better hope and that is the return of Christ and the resurrection of our spiritual supernatural bodies and eternal life. That in itself is a whole other subject to study and is very exciting. We are to look forward to that day waiting and looking for the return of Christ as king of kings and Lord of lords.
