Not My Will But Your Will Lord

When
arriving at church the other morning, we headed toward where we
normally sit and had saved two extra seats for some people that sit
with us usually. A lot of times we'll sit at the very back on the
left side. And many times I will go up and prophetically do dance
worship. I have been doing that for years and understand the
power of worship and spiritual warfare. God has used me that way to
break things off of the people in the church or open up people's
hearts to be free or in worship and warfare. Kind of like a
cheerleader at times, but truly it is how I worship. I dance and
move in the spirit. I not only sing the songs, but feel them in the
depth of my being. You see God had used me years ago and through
different situations to go into areas like the twin towers in New
York a year before the attack of 911 with over 300 dance intercessors.
While there, I had seen a vision of buildings coming down and people
dying but didn't really fully understand at the time what would
happen a year later. I did a lot of intercession in a few days there in
the Twin Towers, and staring at the Statue of Liberty.
Anyway
back to the church the other day. There was a family that came in
that had five people and no where to sit together. So since my
friends had not already shown up, I talked to my husband and said
“hey let's give them our seats and we can go find some other seats
somewhere.” So he agreed and I followed him and he led us right
straight up to the front on the left side. The funny thing was I
really had no intention of going up front that day and worshipping. I
thought "well there's an opening in the back. It would be just nice to just
stay in the back." I always try and check myself to make sure that I only do
something if I feel the Lord is asking, and not out of wanting
attention or the flesh. Believe me, when I am skipping around the
church it is a fight sometimes for me to do it and be obedient.
Well God had another plans as usual. Haha !
Jerry
led us right up to the front where there were three seats on the left
side. The furthest left which is where I would normally sit had a reserved seat sign on it and one
other thing. It had the one tool I use which is a silver and blue
hoop, which to me represents prophetic and the Holy Spirit. It is due
to the color of blue and silver. That hoop is never there, it's
always on the other side and I always have to go over and get it if I
want to use it. But lo and behold it was sitting on the reserve chair
next to me. As soon as I walked up and looked over, I knew what God
had planned and that he was telling me “ no you're going up to
worship”. The seat was reserved for me. To make sure, I asked if any one had reserved this. No one had.
No one ever came and sat in that seat through
the whole service while I was up dancing. You see that day I really didn't want to get up in
front of people and dance just as sometimes I don't want to prophesy.
I even make requests to God saying hey I really don't want to do
anything today Lord, I just want to relax. But I've learned that it
is not about me ever! If He makes a request through inspiration I will obey out of love. My heart is to serve Him no matter how silly I look
or tired I feel or even a little self-consciousness. That day I ended
up dancing through the whole church with this hoop. Not only did I
not want to dance before that but would have preferred not to be seen
at all. I think what God is revealing to me is when you're willing to
put everything on the line including doing things that others many not understand, and not your own will but His first is, you're learning to love him with your heart, soul, mind and
strength.
Worship
is so missed in the church over all. Many churches and many people do not
understand that worship is our loving and serving God and each other.
It is true prayer and praise and is so powerful by the words and even
our physical bodies on how we speak out, sing out and move in freedom
and joy to worship.
If you understand the power of words, then you understand truly how powerful worship is and how it can defeat the enemy in our lives and even our old man nature. Words without action is and faith are nothing. Stepping out in dance worship takes faith. I know many don't get it and think its just a cute little dance or ???? What is she doing out there?
As we give to the
Lord in worship we receive freedom from all the stresses and
attacks in life, and at least for that moment in time we are
transported into the heavenlies and wrapped in the Father's arms. Hey I am not the best dancer and I know it. But I do love God and enjoy entering into a very special intimate place with Him and also with the body of Christ. It is amazing what I see as I dance with Him into the heavenly realms.
So
I encourage all of you to get up and dance with all your might just
as David did in the streets. And sometimes you just have to trust and go for it. And as you do that in obedience to the Lord, your
life will be transformed and you will have joy and peace like never
before. But the greatest joy of all is knowing you have heard God's
request and have pleased and honored Him by your obedience to His
will and not your own. So give the King a little dance today. He so enjoys it, and you willput a smile on His face!
